Farindola has about 1500 inhabitants and is at located at about 500 m above the sea level. It is an excellent base for nature lovers with natural springs, panoramic walks and unique fauna.
The area is famous for its Pecorino cheese and there is a festival helt each year, to celebrate this tasty speciality.

The town has restaurants, bars, butcher, mini market and a weekly market with local farmer's products in the main square, which is helt every Friday morning.
